Clarissa was recruited by the military for her high magical power when she came to the Kingdom of Wechsdalto for culinary training. She and Selveria are classmates and have supported each other during their training years, and they have become good friends. However, unlike Selveria, they eat candy in secret while marching in the army.

When the 4th Mage Musketeer Platoon was assigned to investigate the underground ruins, the 5th Platoon, which was selected to explore the other underground ruins, formed a squad with Clarissa as squad leader, just like the 4th Platoon, and headed to investigate a different ruin than Selveria’s. Before leaving, Selveria and I had a chance to talk about our mutual feelings of inadequacy and lack of understanding. Before departing, they prayed for each other’s safety and departed for their respective sites.
After the demon attack on one of the ruins, Selveria was worried about Clarissa’s safety as she headed for the other ruin…
