It is a simple exploration game to collect the cards while solving the little gimmicks in each room.
You can go to the recollection room from the mirror in front of you right after the OP.
You can talk to the mirror with the A key to recover your energy and get hints on where to go next.
You can also call up your sister to watch a scene (you can recall from the beginning of 3 random scenes).
